1. PATIENT ELIGIBILITY VERIFICATION/PRE-CERTIFICATION/PRE-AUTHORIZATION

  • Every patient office visit is verified for eligibility with insurance company prior to visit.
  • Amity assists providers in obtaining pre-certification of procedures to be performed.

2. BASIC CLAIM PROCESSING

  • Claims prepared and submitted within 24 hours Patient encounter information received.
  • All claims filed electronically unless paper claim is required by the insurance company.
  • Amity files both CMS 1500 and UB 04 claims.
  • Files primary as well as secondary and tertiary claims to insurance companies.

3. ACCOUNT RECEIVABLE MANAGEMENT AND FOLLOW-UP

  • Every filed claim followed-up with insurance company
  • Payments received posted
  • Amity HealthSmart processes each EOB received daily.
  • Each EOB that is received is scrutinized to ensure that each charge was paid correctly by the carrier.
  • Accounts maintained with respect to patients and insurance companies
  • Denied claims - scrutinized for reason of denial, researched, processed and resubmitted
  • Appeals filed and followed-up with insurance companies whenever become necessary

4. PATIENT BILLING

  • Patient statements printed and mailed as soon as becomes due on daily basis
  • Patient account updated on receipt of payment

5. CREDENTIALING
Credentialing is the process of collecting and verifying data that will serve as the basis for decisions regarding appointments and reappointments to the medical staff or allied health staff.

  • Assistance in Credentialing with commercial insurance companies, Medicare, BCBS, etc
